I have a load that shoots like .3 MOA with the 140 ELD bullet, at an average velocity of 3030. I have another load with the ELD-X 143 grain bullet at 3130 fps.

  • Dec 14, 2019 · Only hammers I have used are in a 7mm08 load. FWIW, my 300wsm load of choice is 150gn TTSX over 58.0gn H4895. H4895 and H4350 are great powders for mid-weight 300wsm rounds. For hammers you can either ask them for load data or you can work up from published data with other similar weight mono bullets (such as the 150gn ttsx). •I'm looking for a good load for my .300 RUM. Maybe a load with IMR 7828, Hodgdon H1000,Or Accurate4350.These are some slow burners I have already. The .300 has a 26" barrel with a 1 in 10 twist. I'm thinking 180 grain Nosler ballistic or Sierra hpbt. Thanks in advance for any help. Jeff

We have loaded one 300 PRC with rl26, Hornady brass, wlrm, and the 181's. Coal of 3.552" We ran it to 3300 fps with 83g. This was in a CA rifle too. I am sure this is a top end load and should be worked up to carefully.

Some manufacturers are starting to use 3.700" mag boxes and 1-8 twist barrels in their 300 wm rifles. Most of the load data reports I've seen give the PRC a 75-100 fps advantage over the Win Mag when comparing the same projectiles. The biggest downside is that the long high BC bullets may require single feeding in some 300 wm rifles.
